I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Modern Language Studies with Translation and Interpreting from the University of Hull in the UK. I earned Honours in Spanish Speaking and Italian/ English Translation and took a free elective in Language Teaching.
Experience
I have five years of experience tutoring adults in the Italian language and culture from absolute beginners to advanced learners. I have also led Italian conversation classes when I was at the University of Hull. Each class had up to 10 people and the classes advanced on the topic schedule that I devised. I have tutored foreign students in basic English reading and writing and assisted them in conversational English. I took part in a program that consisted of conversations with a foreign student. The outcome of this experience was our cross-learning and helping to strengthen each other's native language in the other. I'm available to tutor students in Italian, English, and Spanish. I believe learning languages takes a dedicated and professional approach. It takes time, and maybe a few headaches, but nobody said it shouldn't be fun and creative.
