I completed my BSc with honors in applied statistics from the Institute of Statistical Research & Training at the University of Dhaka, in Bangladesh. At the moment, I am a postgraduate doctoral research student studying statistics at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia.
Experience
I am presently a casual math tutor. I took the IELTS exam and got a band score of 7 with no score below 6.5. I am a tutor because I feel that knowledge and experience shared is knowledge and experience gained. I get a lot of satisfaction from transferring skills to my students. I have a patient and understanding approach and can quickly identify the individual needs of my students. My BSc curriculum introduced me to statistical inference, applied regression analysis, introductory sampling method and advanced sampling technique, epidemiology, and lifetime data analysis. I am also very familiar with object-oriented programing languages as well as C, R, Latex, SPSS, SAS, and Stata. My knowledge of data analysis has been developed through my education in applied statistics and my skills have been refined through my professional involvement with a major research institution. I was a statistician with the Centre for Injury Prevention and Research Bangladesh (CIPRB) from 2015-2018. At the CIPRB, I became experienced in managing and analyzing data. As a statistician, I have worked closely on high-profile international collaboration projects also. I am a very open-minded, flexible, and adaptable person. I follow sports and have had the pleasure of working as a volunteer with the media operations team at the International Cricket Council World Twenty20 event held in Bangladesh in 2014. When I was a secondary level student I tutored students of primary and secondary levels in maths and general science for three years.

Hobbies
I love sports, especially cricket and football. I had played a little bit of basketball during my early university days. I am extremely fond of children and love being around them and interacting with them. I have also acquired customer service and communications skills in the area of e-commerce as a freelancer and have been involved in tutoring, event management, culinary/dining services and voluntary work. I am caring and compassionate, have a flexible and understanding mentality and pride myself in being a team player.
